How to use it

Type or paste text and press Play. The sentence being read is highlighted (and the word too, with voices that report it). Tap any sentence to read from there.
Text that mixes Thai and English is read by two voices: Thai parts by the Thai voice, everything else by the English (or other-language) voice you pick, so English words aren't spelled out in a Thai accent.
For another language, such as Japanese or Chinese, pick a voice for it under English & other languages.
Your voices and speed are remembered in this browser.

Voices

The voices come from your device and browser, so the list differs between Windows, Mac, Android and iPhone. Microsoft Edge and Chrome add natural-sounding online voices (marked “online”).
No Thai voice? On Windows, add Thai under Settings → Time & language → Speech. On Android, install Thai in Google's Speech Services. On iPhone, iPad and Mac, add Kanya under Spoken Content. Then reopen the browser.
Browsers don't let websites record these voices, so the speech can't be downloaded as an MP3.

Privacy

Built-in voices speak on your device. Voices marked “online” are provided by your browser's maker (Google or Microsoft), which receives the text to speak it. Utilitech never receives your text.
